Old looking PJ's, Snow, and Tabogins...

I found these old timey PJ's at Osh Gosh and I couldn't resist getting them for Emory. I just thought that the stuff on the back fit perfectly for Emory.

Saturday it started to snow so we decided to bundle Emory up and take her outside to get some pictures of her in the snow, what there was of it. There wasn't hardly any on the ground but at least we were able to get her out and get some pictures. I was almost afraid to get her out since she has developed a cough that is due to her having a cold.

Daniel just loves to wear a tabogin so I found Emory one at Carters back before it really turned cold. All of her hats from last didn't fit anymore so I was on a hunt to find her some hats that actually fit her back in October. Since loves to wear his I decided after we came in from our snow picture taking, I would get a couple of them together with their hats on.

Emory didn't know what to think about her hat. She kept trying to take it off. We always put a burp cloth over her face to play peek-a-boo and she takes it off so I guess she thought that this was what that was. She cracked us up every time she put her had up there because she kept running her fingers over her hat.

Pictures with Santa!!!

Friday at my work we hired a Santa to come in and customers could get their picture taken with Santa. Well Mom and Vickie brought Riley down to get his picture taken with Santa and Daphna brought down Emory to have hers taken. Well Riley just sat there didn't cry, Emory on the other hand just cried up a storm. It was completely different from last years picture, she was asleep.

Here Emory is in one of her birthday presents from her Grandpa and DD. She looked so cute in it on Sunday. I had some patent leather looking shoes with bows on them that went really good with the whole outfit.

Here is Emory talking to Nana. They carried on a big conversation.

Yesterday the weather was so bad that we pulled out some of our christmas stuff for Emory to wear. I found this shirt at babygap and just thought that it was the cutest. I thought that since it was threatening icy and snowy weather that I would put it on her in hopes that it would snow.

The many faces of Emory

"Mmmmmmm.... Granny"

"I can't see you Granny so you can't see me"

"Oh there you are!!!!"

We took our Christmas pictures on Monday night and here is a little preview of some of the pictures that my mom took. As you can tell in some of the pictures Emory was quite for sure what to think about all of the picture taking.

FINALLY.... THANKSGIVING PICS

Our Little Turkey

Daniel's birthday was on Thanksgiving this year. Hope you had a great birthday honey!

This Thanksgiving was completely different than last years. I was thinking all day on Thanksgiving what we had done last year. How we had worked it out with both sets of parents and what not and it dawned on me that we spent last years Thanksgiving at Children's Hospital. We has so much to be thankful this year. We got to be home with family and spend it with the ones we love and got to enjoy our little girl at home instead of the hospital.

Emory has received a new hearing aide device. It is called a "BAHA." It is a Bone Anchored Hearing Aide. (www.umm.edu/otolaryngology/baha.htm If you to this website it will explain the BAHA)It so very cool. I have always heard that you can see when a child learns something new for the first time by the expression on their faces. Well Emory when she first got her new hearing aide of course she cried like the world was coming to an end but that is normal something not for sure if we are going to like it. But Emory has so wonderful with it. It is on a headband (normally we take off our headbands) and she leaves it on for the most part. The day after when she was home with my mom for the day and the neighbors dogs started to bark Emory's eyes got really big and and she has this surprised look on her face and my mom explained that that was the dogs barking. Mom said it was the most neat and amazing experience because she knew that Emory heard those dogs barking for the first time. Well here is was the BAHA looks like (the pictures are not the best but at least you get to see what it looks like:

You just snap the hearing aide piece (the first two pictures) in to the base on the headband (the third picture) and then we can place the base part anywhere on her head. Pretty amazing. If this works out to be a good thing, which it already is, the will surgicially implant it behind the ear.

It is staring to look a lot like Christmas around our house. I decided this year to make a wreath, which my mom helped me with (thanks mom, love ya) and the tuesday of Thanksgiving week I put up our tree.
