Long time, no blog....

Okay so I know it has been a month since I have updated my blog. I have no excuses. Things have been extremely busy here lately. I have recently took over our Drama team at our church and I have been working with some amazing kids. Also we started back up on our appointments to Children's Hospital again. Man that 2 month break was great, hard to get back into the routine. We had some really good reports this time. Our first appointment on was Monday Oct 8th and it was with orthopedic and they took some more x-rays of Emory and decided to go ahead with braces on her legs to help straighten them out a little bit more. She has done most of the work on her legs by just stretching them herself and kicking (what little she can kick her legs), but I have worked a little bit on stretching her legs but she has done most of the work. So we will be getting our new braces in about a couple of weeks. Tuesday Oct 9th we had seen our neurosurgeon to discuss some more about doing surgery on Emory's teethered spinal cord. He has finally decided that when we go back in 6 months to see him we will discuss a surgery date. Also on the 9th we had seen Dr. Lyle, which was one of the many dr.s that had seen Emory while she was in the NICU and I just love him. He is so good with Emory and always willing to listen to all of my many questions and trust me I have a ton of them when I see him.

Emory is gaining weight, she is a little of 10 pounds now and she has finally gotten to 21 inches. I just can't get over everytime we go that she is gaining weight and growing in length. I hold my breath everytime we have to get our measurements done because I am always afraid that she will be losing pounds instead of gaining them or holding steady and GOD pulls through everytime when we get the weight measurement. Emory is going to be a year old in 3 weeks!!! I just can't believe that a whole year has past since her birth. This whole year has flown by so fast and I have been truly blessed to watch our little girl grow from a 5lb 11oz. to 10lbs. I just can't imagine my life without her. She diffentely has changed me as a person.

Well anyways, here are some most recent pictures of the little girl...

I just love this picture of Emory. She is showing off her "monkey" face.

Pretty flower!!!!.... Do you taste as good as you look????....

Not really....

There are a few people that I would like for you to remember in your prayers... Ethan Powell, he is still fighting his battle with leukemia, Sydney Smith, who found out about a month ago that she has cancer started her treatments last week, and the Steece family, who live in Texas and just had quads about a 2 months ago, one of them, the girl Savannah, refluxed and stopped breathing and she had to be taking to the ER, but she is okay but please pray that there will not be any side effects from not breathing and that hopefully she will not have reflux for very long and that she will grow out of it very quickly.
