I know, I know I am like a little kid when it comes to snow. But I just remember when I was in grade school and how we would always get feet of snow the week we were supposed to back to school like the second week in January and I just loved going outside and playing for hours and hours and then finally coming inside and drinking hot chocolate that my mom would make for us and we would warm up and go back outside and do it all over again. And now we do not get much snow at all. Last year when it snowed like this Emory was in the hospital with her kidneys and I remember asking the nurse if she would let me bundle Emory up and really really quickly take her outside to get her picture taken. She would not but she did go and get one of those big pink tubs and she filled it full of snow and mom and Daniel make Emory her first snowman.
So here we are today snowing and we are all excited. I was so excited to finally get Emory in this snowsuit that we got as a shower gift. Still a little big but it got the job done. Enjoy the pictures from Emory's adventure out into the snow!!!
Stay tuned for more of Emory's fun day with the snow... her first snowball!!!

Big Thank You and Appointments
Emory would like to thank our good friends Darren and Whitney for her beautiful dress that they got her for her birthday. Enjoy some of the photos.
A couple of weeks ago, I was able to be off on a Wednesday and I took Emory to her therapy that day and by the time we got home (from the therapy place less than 10 minutes with all of the lights) she had conked out on me so I left her in her car seat and here are a couple of pictures of her just snoozing away.
Now for the appointments, we had quite a few last week in Little Rock down at Children's. On Tuesday we had a dentist look at Emory because we were getting a little concerned that she hasn't had any teeth yet. So he did a couple of x-rays and you could see her baby teeth already formed and you could see her adult teeth starting to form. He told us that in the next couple of months that she should have them in. Later that evening we started to notice that she is getting a tooth on the bottom. Now if it would just come on through that would be great!! Also we had an appointment with her neonatalogist that had her while she was in the NICU at Children's and they were a little concerned that she had not had a significant growth from the last time she was there. So they were trying to decide on how to get more calories for her to intake. So we decided to start putting cereal in her bottles. On Thursday we just the hand doctor and he said that her hands are looking good and that we should start doing some additional stretches on her hands and that the middle finger on the right hand is still the only candidate for surgery but it will be a while. On Friday we had Audiology and ENT and at Audiology they checked to see how the "BAHA" was still working out for us and since she just now able to sit in a "BUMBO" seat they took her to the sound booth to do a little testing on her hearing and she had a little bit of improvement and a good starting point on testing in the booth so hopefully we will see more and more improvement each time we go back now and at the ENT the doctor said that her ears still looked good but they did have to clean them about a bit. Also on friday we saw her orthopedic doctor and had a few x-rays and then the doctor said that they are referring us to the spine doctor for her scoliosis. So we don't know for sure if the scoliosis has gotten worse or if they are just now getting worried about it. So we are just praying that there is nothing to worrysome. But all in all we had some really good appointments this go around.

Finally Christmas Pictures and others....
Emory and Riley
Emory loved to hear the wrapping ripping from everybody elses packages. She loved it so much I couldn't get her to help me open her presents.
I just love this picture of Emory. She was so excited.
"Gosh mom do I have to help you open this one???"
"It is what I always wanted!!!!"
Emory is ready for some serious snow weather. I found these boots at Target and I couldn't resist. She looked so cute in them.
This is Emory's reaction to the Razorback - Missouri bowl game.
